Come Out Come Out Wherever You Are

I had been playing hide and seek with my characters in a very long time now. Days. Weeks. Months. They had been hiding, I had been seeking them. The bastards, they know how to play this game well.

But I finally cornered them. I blew their cover. They did not like it. You see, they do not take losing that well. They stubbornly turned their back to me. I had to scold them, I had to warn them of the consequences of the silent treatment they had been giving me. I even had to blackmail them.

I was very clear and specific of who boss is. They surrendered to my superiority. They turned and looked at me. Eyeballed me. I did not back down. I was determined to take over the situation and I would not take their bullshit anymore.

And they finally whispered. They whispered a good two pages. Now I know they will eventually talk. Shout. Loud. All the way to Fade Out. It’s just a matter of time.

Often there is a post that begins, “I don’t know what to write so I am writing.”

They turn out to be great posts after all. Just getting the fingers to the keyboard and getting the words flowing…

Then I wonder why they didn’t take that part out at the beginning, that part about how they had trouble coming up with ideas. I am about to find out right now. That is exactly how I felt when I started this and things have not changed.

Hey Mom!!

 This is hilarious.  I love kids. I do not have kids. Hopefully some day I will. But when I come across stuff like this, I reconsider the above mentioned “hopefully”.
